Jinnah Avenue and Serena Interchanges are two highly demanded major road projects because of the traffic jams in the area.
According to reports, the Capital Developmental Authority will approve the hiring of consultants for these two major road projects in their upcoming board meeting. These major road projects include the Serena Interchange and the interchange at the junction of Jinnah Avenue and 9th Avenue.
The Capital Developmental Authority has announced these projects various times before but the work hasn’t been started yet. The hired consultants would make a design and oversee all the construction and preparations. According to a higher-ranked CDA Officer, these consultants will prepare the design within 2 months.
The CDA will float the tender after the design completion as these two major projects are on top priority in the CDA’s Budget. The Serena Interchange road project will include two underpasses that will immensely improve the traffic jams on the Srinagar highway. The same is the case with Jinnah Avenue and 9th Avenue which face congestion at PTCL Chowk.
Both of these projects and hiring a consultant for these projects are top priorities of CDA in this FY 24-25.
