Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued a show cause notice to the illegal housing scheme Faisal Town, Phase-II on the directives of its Director General (DG), Kinza Murtaza.
The spokesperson of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has stated that the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate of RDA has issued a show-cause notice to the owner of the illegal housing scheme, Faisal Town Phase-II. The scheme is located in Mera Kalan and Dhalla in Tehsil Rawalpindi. The notice has been issued for launching the marketing of the illegal housing project on social media.
According to a spokesman, the Director General (DG) has advised citizens against investing in illegal housing schemes. The owner of an illegal housing scheme, named Faisal Town Phase-II, is planning to hold an opening ceremony for bookings of plots in a new block of the scheme in violation of rule 46(1) of Punjab Development.

The public is cautioned against investing in illegal housing projects. The sale of plots or housing units through print, electronic media, or any other means without prior approval from the regulatory Authority is strictly prohibited.
According to a statement, the MP&TE Directorate RDA has instructed the owner of an illegal housing scheme to cease all development activities, advertising, events, and the buying/selling of plots. Failure to comply may result in legal action taken against the offender under the provisions outlined in the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and Punjab Development.

He said that the Directorate General had also instructed the MP&TE Directorate to take strict action against illegal advertisements and marketing of illegal housing schemes.
