Operations against encroachments in Islamabad, Capital Developmental Authority started the operation in full flow.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated a major operation against encroachments in the city, as per the instructions of its new Chairman. The objective of the operation is to eliminate encroachments from the city and restore its original beauty.
Sources reveal that the CDA Enforcement Directorate, in collaboration with the district administration, has commenced a massive drive against the encroachments all over the city. So far, 7 buildings on Lehtrar Road have been sealed for violating building codes, and numerous illegal billboards have been taken down from Pothohar Avenue. Additionally, two trucks, carrying billboards, have been confiscated.
During recent operations, encroachments were removed from Baharah Kahu and Dhamial Road, and two trucks of goods were confiscated. Additionally, a crackdown on encroachment mafias was carried out in the vicinity of Barri Imam, resulting in the seizure of one truck of goods.
In Sector I-14, a suspect was apprehended for operating an illegal quarry in the park area, and the tractor was impounded. Similar operations were conducted on Khanna Pul, Express Highway, Lehtrar Road, I-9, and I-10, to clear the roads of encroachments.
The new Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa has made a commitment to eliminate encroachments in Islamabad and restore the city to its former beauty. He has urged the Enforcement Directorate to take action against encroachments and directed the CDA directorates to work with the DMA department of MCI to clear encroachments from the markets of Islamabad. The Chairman has emphasized that the operation will continue until the city is completely free from encroachments.
